Oregon Standoff: Spark for the Second American Revolution?

There’s a brewing storm in Oregon.
Another rancher and his family are being harassed by the very government that is still preaching freedom and democracy all over the globe.

It seems the United States corporate government can’t keep its own word at home and is constantly tyrannizing its own people with threats of incarceration in times of dissent and, in this case, preserving the family’s means of livelihood.
While during the Bundy Ranch Siege it was pretty clear that the Bundys are willing to battle it out against the BLM’s attempt to remove them from the land they have grazing rights for decades, this one in Oregon is somewhat convoluted because the Hammonds have not issued any categorical statement in furtherance of their rights as ranchers, but have submitted themselves to the Harney County jail.
Some militia groups, however, believe the Hammonds were being threatened by State agents if they won’t give in to the corporatists’ demand. The Oathkeepers believe otherwise.

‘Dwight Hammond threatened by U.S. government, in fear of life’

By Shepard Ambellas

PRINCETON, Ore. (INTELLIHUB) — I just got off the phone with Ryan Bundy who represents the armed group Citizens for Constitutional Freedom currently occupying a federal building at an Oregon wildlife refuge and you won’t believe what he said!

“I am actually pretty disappointed in that but I do understand their decision. It was the Hammond’s decision themselves to turn themselves in,” Ryan Bundy told me.

My personal feelings are—well I had a direct conversation with Dwight Hammond just two days ago and I asked Dwight: is this really what you want? Do you really want to go to prison? Is that what you really feel you want to do?

And well he got angry at me. He said, of course not, of course not. But he said they will put a bullet in my head. He goes they will kill me without hesitation. And he goes, and they will throw me in the back of the truck. And he goes, I will not be the only body there. […] They—meant anyone else supporting them.

And so he reported to prison not out of duty, not out of respect for the government, not out of guilt for crime that they say he committed, it was simply out of fear of the oppressive government.

[…]

Our groups ultimate goal is to restore and defend the Constitution and particularly the rights of the people in this county.

Do you guys plan to make a stand or do you plan to retreat at this point?

Regardless of what they are doing does not weigh bearing on what we are doing. I mean obviously we are here because of what’s happened to them and the many others, but their [the Hammond’s] retreat does not dismay us at all.

The FBI has a long history of inserting provocateurs into these type of things. Do you believe that any provocateurs have been planted on scene?

Well you know, we are aware of such things that take place, you know, and we try and catch that etcetera. I see lots of proctors online, so to speak. But yeah we’re weary of that, but what are you going to do.

Do you realize that a good portion of the mainstream media has actually turned Americans against you and have even labeled you a terrorist?

“Well they labeled us terrorists several years ago so that’s not new. You got to look at the definition of terror.”

… When I asked Ryan Bundy if President Barack Obama’s announcement of executive action on firearms this week is related to the timing of their demonstration, he said, “[…] somewhat.”

Now if they [the government] come there and try to provocateur and escalate the situation will you guys try and defuse it?

Ryan responded:

“Those are questions far and beyond what I will answer at this time.”

Ryan also told me that he has no knowledge of any minerals, precious metals or uranium being located on or near the Hammond Ranch which was speculated to be a potential motive of the federal government to do what they are doing.

Ryan also said he has seen absolutely no sign of any government official or law enforcement agent on scene.

Because of the unclear stand of the Hammonds, the militia groups that are in the area and the people in the community are in a disagreement as to what exactly they would do in response to this governmental aggression.
Both camps are now playing into the hands of “divide and conquer” government script.

“Brandon Curtiss, who identified himself as president of an Idaho militia group, repeatedly tried to tamp down fears of violence.

“We are not coming into your town to shoot it up,” Curtiss said. “We won’t fire anything unless we’re fired upon.”

Curtiss said he and others were there to support the Hammonds in what they see as an illegal prosecution. Some militia members contend the federal government had no authority to prosecute the Hammonds for setting range fires because it doesn’t rightfully control land in Harney County. Militia members Friday night repeatedly cited their determination to act to uphold the Constitution.

Local residents questioned militia members about social media posts that urged violence or otherwise invoked threatening language. Curtiss tried to distance himself and others, saying they had no control over such rhetoric.

“When you start asking for help, you know how the internet is,” he said.

Oregon Wildlife Refuge Occupation Powder Keg Just Needs a Spark

“The Hammonds were convicted of arson after a fire they said they started on their property to burn off wildfire-threatening invasive species inadvertently spread onto federal land, consuming 139 acres.  The government charged they were covering up evidence of poaching, and the jury bought the prosecution’s arguments. A new controversy arose after it was ruled the trial court sentence was not harsh enough, and Chief Judge Ann Aiken of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon tacked on an additional five years.

“The Hammond family does not want an armed standoff, and nobody has a right to force one on them,” Oath Keepers told its members. “Since Dwight and Steven Hammond, through their attorney, have made it clear they intend to turn themselves in and serve out the additional time, Oath Keepers cannot, and will not, try to interfere with that decision (peaceable assembly and protest is, of course, fine, but going beyond that against their wishes is not).”

“The 3% of Idaho, 3% of Oregon, The Oregon Constitutional Guard, and PPN organizations in no way condone nor support these actions,” the 3% of Oregon declared in a press release. “They do not mirror our vision, mission statement, or views in regards to upholding the Constitution, The Rule of Law, or Due Process.”

Also complicating matters for the protesters, some of the locals are scared. And the ranchers at the heart of the dispute, through their lawyer, declared they have nothing to do with the takeover.

Ammond Bundy disagrees with Oath Keepers, says the Hammonds distancing themselves has been coerced after government threats, and has put out a call for people to come to Oregon and support his actions. So now what we have is a serious split between some who do not agree with Bundy’s methods, and an angry backlash against anyone speaking out against his actions, with plenty of name-calling going in both directions.

That schism has to please those who benefit from an opportunity to “divide and conquer,” and that’s very apparent on social media. But here’s the thing — even if you are someone who opposes the action, you’re still affected by it.  Like it or not, we’re all in it up to our necks.

That’s because the monopoly of violence “progressives” will use the Oregon occupation to tar everyone who believes in the right to keep and bear arms as an “insurrectionist,” an “extremist” and a “domestic terrorist.” That will be extended to mainstream groups like NRA, always a convenient media punching bag. And the smear job won’t be limited to gun rights defenders. Expect it to cover anyone who espouses “conservative” values. And expect attacks on the Republicans, especially on the presidential candidates.

Don’t be surprised to see some in the GOP reconsider how committed they’re willing to be opposing Obama’s anticipated executive orders. And don’t’ be surprised to see the administration looking to emergency powers to deal not just with the Oregon situation, but to do whatever they think they can get away.  Don‘t be surprised to see Democrats, gun-grabber groups and the press cheering it on.

There are still plenty of unknowns, including how many people are actually at the wildlife refuge, and what it is that would induce them to depart. When questioned by CNN, Ammon Bundy spoke in general terms, making it sound like nothing less than the dismantling of the federal Leviathan is what it will take. His colleague John Ritzenheimer sounded more fatalistic, in what could only be characterized as a “goodbye” video message to his family.”

The OathKeepers are warning everyone that the US government has assigned the current standoff to some special services and a possible escalation of the situation is emerging, further urging everyone to take the necessary precaution…

URGENT Warning on OR Standoff: Military Special OP Assets Have Been Assigned for Standoff. Get All Children Out of There Immediately – Oath Keepers

by Stewart Rhodes

Oath Keepers has received very credible information from an active duty source within the special operations community that at least one SOD-X (Reserve/National Guard Special Operations Detachment, see this, this, and this) unit under the command of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) has been tasked for this standoff at the Malheur Wildlife Reserve and moved to the area.   Given this, we should expect that other special operations assets, such as Delta Force, will also be involved if the Obama Administration decides to give the green light on a military raid/strike.  And we should expect the presence of the infamous FBI HRT (which were present at both Ruby Ridge and Waco).

Due to this, anyone who has children there, at the wildlife refuge, needs to get them out immediately, and DO NOT take any more children there for any reason (and we do know that some children, including a baby, have been seen there).  We do not need to have the risk of dead children in this incident.  It is unconscionable and immoral for anyone to place children at risk of being in the middle of a firefight or military raid/strike on the armed men holding that federal wildlife refuge.   Now, of course, just because military special operations units have been sent to the area and are tasked with a possible action does not mean it will be done.  It may not.  But we DO NOT trust the Obama Administration to do this right, which would be to handle it like the Montana Freeman standoff rather than the Waco standoff, and anyone who thinks that Obama wouldn’t dare drop the hammer on Ammon and his men is a fool.   We hope “the adults in the room” in the Administration and in the federal LEO and military community will keep that from happening, but hope is not an operational plan.  We don’t trust them, and you shouldn’t either, so:

Get, and keep, children off the friggin X.

This is not a “free speech” barbecue at Bundy Ranch with live music by Jordan Page.   This is a whole different animal.   Children have no business being there.   In fact, there should be no non-combatants (no women and children) there at all.   This is not a family event.  The only people there should be the armed men who are willing to die there with Ammon Bundy and his brothers and a couple of embedded reporters.   If they want to put themselves at risk, that is their choice, but don’t have children there.   If a dozen men die in a shootout, that is one thing, but if children die, there will be a civil war.

Oath Keepers

Short Oath Keepers Statement on this Standoff

I will post a longer statement later, but for now, here is a brief statement on this situation, in general:

Oath Keepers adamantly opposes the armed takeover of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.  This is not in keeping with the moral imperative of only using force in defense when people’s lives are at stake, as at Bundy Ranch in 2014.  In this case, neither the Hammonds nor their neighbors were in imminent threat of being murdered, and neither the Hammonds nor their neighbors asked for any form of armed standoff.   In fact, they oppose it.  This is being done by outsiders who mislead and deceived locals, deceived the Hammonds, and deceived the patriot movement by luring them in with a peaceful rally and then attempting to rope them into a premeditated, manufactured armed standoff.   Both Ammon Bundy and Ryan Payne (who we suspect is an agent provocateur) told the locals in the Committee of Safety, at a public town hall meeting on December 15 that they, the locals on the committee, would be making the decisions on what was to be done, how, and when.   That was a lie, as they were already staging their men and supplies in the area to take over the wildlife refuge, and had already planned out this takeover of the federal facility at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.  By doing this, they have given Obama the best New Year’s present he could hope for – an example of militia movement/patriot aggression, which gives up the high ground while also having the least credibility and support from the locals possible, after lying to them, and also the least support from the patriot community, who were also blind-sided by Ammon and Ryan Payne.

However, as much as we oppose what Ammon Bundy and Ryan Payne have done, we must warn the Obama Administration that it does not have free reign to “Waco” the people in this standoff by using deadly military force, such as an SOD-X, Delta Force, or the FBI HRT to kill them all.  The Federal government must respect their right to due process and do all it can to end this standoff peacefully, without loss of life.   It must treat it like the Freeman standoff, not the Waco standoff.   There will be no more free Wacos, as Mike Vanderbgh, Founder of the Three Percenter movement puts it.  Treat this with kid gloves or risk a civil war.

For the OathKeepers to assume a careful “observation” mode is wise considering the government’s propensity for false flag operations at this point in time to advance multiple agendas, e.g. gun control, invasion of private properties.
However, other issues, some of which are stipulated in our “Major Disclosures are Seeds for A Global Revolution,” do render the Second Revolution long overdue.

  1. They’re going to be killed, it’s pretty obvious. The elite will murder them, make them the bad guys, and use it to further erode our rights and protections. The government wins in every way, the patriot movement loses.
