The ongoing operation initiated by Palestinian resistance groups against Israel is a direct result of the continual injustices committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people, according to Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
He made this statement during a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on Saturday.
Hamas fighters earlier in the day breached the barriers separating Gaza from illegally occupied Palestinian territories and entered several towns and settlements. They also launched a heavy barrage of over 7,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized to his Turkish counterpart that “the Palestinian resistance’s operation is a spontaneous response to the ongoing crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime against Palestine.”

He called upon all Muslim countries to “to remain united in support of the holy occupied city of al-Quds, as well as the oppressed and resistant Palestinian nation.”
During their conversation, the two foreign ministers discussed the current situation in occupied Palestine and stressed the importance of respecting the rights of Palestinians.
Iran has expressed strong support for the Palestinian anti-Israeli operation, with Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan’ani describing Operation al-Aqsa Storm as “a turning point and a new chapter” in the ongoing resistance against the Zionist regime.
Kan’ani stated that the operation “demonstrates the Palestinian resistance’s confident ability to conduct hybrid and multilateral operations against the occupiers.”
Furthermore, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, declared that the resistance group is on the verge of a significant victory following their unexpected offensive against Israeli-occupied territories.
Haniyeh emphasized that they are close to achieving a “great victory” and clear advancement within the “Zionist entity.”
