While the West are sending military personnel and material to sustain the bombing of cilvilians inside Eastern Ukraine, Russia has been very consistent with its humanitarian aid deliveries to the people caught in the crossfire.

Putin expresses anger over double standard by the west on the Ukraine issue

BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhuanet) — Russian President Vladimir Putin says in an interview that he is angry about the double-standard by the west on the Ukraine issue. The remarks were made in an interview by the Tass news agency in Russia.
“Our partners in the west have repetitively emphasized to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity. And those craving for their own rights in eastern Ukraine become the so-called pro-Russia separatists. But, those who fight under the leadership of Al Qaeda in the Caucasian area with us, are named as democratic fighters. They hold the money and weapon provided by the Al Qaeda. Though surprising, its a fact,” Putin says.
The Russian president also said Western countries in turn have all remained silent on Ukraine’s government employing heavy weapons such as tanks, warplanes and ballistic missiles to fight the militants in eastern part of the country.
However, Putin pointed out Russia has no plan to counter the western countries. And was not Russia’s plan to reconstruct an Iron Curtain like one during the cold war. Putin also commented on the plummeting Russian economy, which he attributes to the oil prices plummeting. Putin also said he won’t remain Russia’s president for life and will step down in line with the constitution no later than 2024.
